Ukraine - Netherlands Urban Network

Oleksandra Tkachenko


Oleksandra works on the edge between urban planning and strategies, which also represents her double master degree. In 2012, she obtained the first one in urban planning from the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. Later in 2016, she complemented it with master in urban management and development at IHS Erasmus University Rotterdam. After gaining experience in several offices and initiatives, she joined KuiperCompagnons in 2021. Her approach have a strong focus on development process such as scenario planning, participation, stakeholders analysis and alternative housing models. Since 2022 she is a Chairwoman of UNUN and act as studio master (coördinator) of Panorama Ukraine.

Pavlo Gorokhovskyi


Pavlo Gorokhovskyi is an architect and advisor to the Dutch Board of Government Advisors (CRa). In addition to his involvement with state councils for spatial quality, he is also dedicated to Ukraine's dignified recovery and serves as a board member of 'Ukraine - Netherlands Urban Network'. Pavlo holds an MSc in Architecture, Urbanism and Building Science from TU Delft (NL) and a MSc in Architecture from KNUCA (UA). In 2023, he successfully completed PEP-BNA, earning the official title of Architect. Pavlo has resided and worked in the Netherlands since 2017, accumulating over nine years of diverse international professional experience.
Pavlo Gorokhovskyi is also a tutor of an architecture and urbanism course aHOUSEforHOME.

Elena Chevtchenko


Elena Chevtchenko was born and raised in Ukraine and has lived and worked in The Netherlands for over 20 years. She is an integral designer (architecture, landscape and urban design) who believes that densifying only makes sense around quality: good public green and water, amenities and public transport.
Currently she is working on a better world at PosadMaxwan strategy + design doing complex projects with a focus on development of integral cooperation methods (for multiple stakeholders, themes and scales), and the interactive digital instruments to support them, as well as pushing hard for the rebuilding of Ukraine as a model EU state through UNUN: Ukraine Netherlands Urban Network.

Patrick Meijers


Patrick is co-founder, together with Jeroen Schipper, of Orange Architects, an architectural and urban office for international projects. Orange architects works on a wide portfolio of awarded and sustainable projects. Patrick Meijers is also board member of the Ukraine Netherlands Urban Network (UNUN) and delivers lectures both domestically and internationally

Tania Vovk


Tania Vovk is a project manager and researcher with a deep passion for art and preserving cultural heritage. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s degree in Textile Technology. With a background in both arts and textile technology, she is dedicated to weaving cultural elements into the fabric of modern cities.
Her professional background includes organizing business events, managing culture and administration for pop-up locations, and researching prototypes for temporary-use projects. Tania is also the founder and owner of KimonoUA, the Ukrainian kimono club.
Currently, she applies her expertise at UNUN, where she focuses on event organization and communications.
